This week I read a few chapters of Silence of Lambs, while most of the readers or TV watchers just focus on how brutal and crucial the character himself is and feel sick about his behaviors,I care more about how he does so.
I always believe that what adults do can be reflected in their childhoods. For example, kids who have a happy family would be more friendly and confident than those who don’t.
Kids at a young age can have very delicate hearts.Once it is hurt, maybe it cannot be mended and cured after a long period. And the behavior mode he chose in the childhood can have a strong influence on his gown-up years.
I have a good friend, who is a very talented student ,also majoring in foreign languages, who has wonderful talents in singing, cooking and speaking, who can finish every task perfectly on time. However, even though every student would like to be friends with him or at least would like to cooperate with him and admire his ability,he don’t regard himself that important and always thought that he himself was actually a fool who cannot cooperate with one another.
At that time,I couldn’t imagine such a boy always thinking of giving up since he thought he didn’t attach any importance to people around him and what he could do was just annoy them. Then I gradually got to know him better and found in his childhood,he always finish things by himself. That’s why he could take good care of his study and all kinds of other activities independently with a clear mind all the time. And that’s why he is never familiar with asking for help or talking to others. Therefore,he was also accustomed to bearing all the pains on his own, which touches me a lot.
Personalities can not be easily changed. It is said so in Chinese.
Since in the early years, the early years when kids do not have a strong heart to digest the pains, when kids do not have a wise mind to determine whether the terrible experience should be forgotten or to be remembered,it’s rather easy to hurt them or simply affect their building characters.
Hope there are fewer and fewer Hannibals.
