Three best presentations
1. Christine: Silver linings playbook
I have never read the book itself, but I remember watching the movie in the theater. I looked at 2 characters kept fighting and fighting, and then finally they found the balance between each other. I was very touched. I realized there would be someone in the world who would accept who you are and love the all of you. That was a couple of years ago. But Christine's presentation brought back the feelings. I felt sorry that her powerpoint didn't work but she still managed to express what she wanted to share. She also shared the quote from the book which was very touching. Sometimes we all need a little bit silver lining in our life when we are down to remind us that everything would be just fine. And Christine reminded me of that with her presentation.
2. Ingrid: Divergent
Ingrid did a good job telling us the details and she also finished the presentation with a question which is very interesting. That made me thought about if I were in the world based on divergent, which category would I be sorted in? People have strengths and weaknesses, people have things they are good at and things they are not good at, people have advantages and flaws. So we should all embrace everyone's diversities and love them for who they really are. Oh, and I really like her powerpoint. It is clear and humorous.
3. Tiffany: Before I go to sleep
Again, it is a book which I have always wanted to read but never get a chance to. I loved the movie because the actors were all some of my favorites and the story had a very exciting plot. I thought the way Tiffany talked about the book was very cute. She mentioned the Chinese title of the book and how she was afraid to go to sleep because she didn't want to wake up remembering nothing. And the way she talked about it really made me want to go look for the book and read it.
