Brett was fired because her mother wanted her to focus on completing the life list. After losing her job, Brett was afraid to tell her boyfriend, Andrew, that she got fired because she was scared that she would lose him as well. Andrew and Brett's relationship is really superficial to me. It's like they're together because they have to maintain some sort of social status. I mean, how is it possible that a couple being together for seven years and haven't said the most important three words? If I were Brett, I would dump him immediately. I guess that's why she's so afraid telling Andrew she's unemployed because he doesn't love her for who she is.
Besides losing her job, Brett finally began her missions on her life list. She crossed out number 18, perform live. She decided to do a stand-up comedy. However, it ended pretty badly. The audience thought Brett was terrible. Still, I'm impressed that Brett stick to the end for the entire routine. I'm also very happy to see that she and her lawyer are having something going on between them. I hope Brett and Andrew can break up as soon as possible so that Brad and her can be together.
Last but not least, I really love the part when Brett accomplished one of the goals from her life list and she received her mother's letter. Her mother quoted from Eleanor Roosevelt: "Do something every day that scares you. Take those risks and see where you land, for they are the very things that make this journey." These words are very inspiring and I totally agree. I was scared of delivering speeches in front of the public. I thought it was terrifying but in order to make my parents proud, I conquered my fear and guess what? It was worthwhile like Brett's mother had said. Thus, I think these words will be kept in my mind forever.
