Log #2

        In my first log, I said that I really like America because she can be herself in such a critical environment, but after I read more about her, I notice the shortcomings of America. I will be focusing on the indecisiveness of her.

        While reading through the story, I learned that America is a person who can hardly make up decision. I think it is not a bad thing, but when it comes to a relationship, it is. America’s first love is a guard in the palace whose name is Aspen. She decided to participate in the competition of winning the crown, so they end up being separated. Later, America falls in love with Maxon, but at the same time, she cannot forget about every moment with Aspen. I think it is not wrong to remember the times with ex because we all have feelings and sensation. What I dislike about America is that since she decided to enter the selection, she should not date with Aspen in secret and, on the other, have a further relationship with Maxon.

        What’s worse is that America even keeps the relationship with Aspen away from Maxon until the day when Maxon announce that he would choose America as his wife. Under the anger of Maxon, it not only influences herself but also the two guys that she was having affairs with.

        There are many things to learn through our lives, inclusive of the relationship. It is difficult for us not to be decisive if we are originally like that, but we can take the story of America and make it into our reminders that we could make a better decision by thinking about the consequences.
