I Am Malala
Starvation, a mysterious word for children
in the developed countries who have definitely never experienced such feelings
before.
Terrorism, a cool word for teenagers
playing online gun shoot games who would keep imagining themselves in those terror
scenarios.
Nightmare, a high-frequent word
for adults who would always use on Instagram posts whenever scolded by bosses,
bothered by crying children, or even shocked by credit card bills.
To
some extent, however, these three words are realizing the genuine definitions
of what they exactly are in some parts of the world – the Islamic State. Terror
extremists, both Taliban and ISIS warriors, have far more influences on the
residents in these areas. Those terrorists take controls over everything
including, the government, the education system, even the people’s thoughts and
their beliefs. Malala Yousafzai, born and raised up in such terrible
background, didn’t surrender to the fear; instead, she spoke up for the
humanity and the children and girls’ rights for receiving education. I do
greatly admire this young girl who shall be at the same grade as me, not for
the reputation of Nobel Laureate but for her bravery and determination.
The
first few chapters gave the readers a very detailed information of Malala, and
they also covered her characteristics and personality development. Besides, this
autobiography used a story-telling way to share with readers the stories of the
outstanding girl. And the beginning of this miraculous life journey started
from her poor origin… to be continued.
