I spent my holidays on exploring books in the library. To be honest, I haven't been in the library since
I finished the TVE Joint College Entrance Examinations. It feels really good to be back here again. The silence, the atmosphere here is still the same.
After browsing for about 3-5 hours, I finally decided which book to read.
"The Road"
The reason why I chose this book is the cover. It reminds me of my favorite video game named "The Last of Us". The game is about a man and a little girl. Because the girl is probably the savior of the zombie apocalypse, he had to take the girl to the place where the scientists are to research and develop the antidote to the catastrophe.
The picture on the book's cover reflected the father love that the father in the game showed me. It touched my heart so bad. Therefore, I decided to read this book.
At the beginning of this book, the author created a scene of a father and a son traveling in the ruins. Since this is the first time I read an English novel, the words that the author used is pretty profound. And I love the way he tells the story. Once I started reading, I just can't stop. I was deeply buried in the book. I even think that I was walking beside them in the world of ruin. Though the communications between them are very short, I still can see the love between them through the actions and the eye contact that the author told me.
It is a very good book from the beginning, hope it can stay still 'til the end of it.
Oh wow it has been adapted into a movie. called "末日浩劫".
When you said you like the style/way the author tells the story, please show some examples, ok?Show us how "profound" it is!
