Theodore Boone: the abduction
by John Grisham
Pages: 1-157
This was a great reading experience. To begin with, the plot is more interesting compared with the previous story: finding evidence for a murder case. This time, Theodore's best friend April was kidnapped! In the beginning of the story, the police found April's disappearance, and they also found a kidnapper Jack Leeper, who was April's pen pal as well as her relative, escaped from the jail and came to this town! The police spent several chapters to chase Leeper down and finally take him into custody. However, Jack Leeper refused to reveal that girl's location unless he got a remission for his last kidnapping case, his runaway from the jail, and this event. In the meanwhile, Theodore's uncle suspected that April was taken away by her father. Theodore tried to find any information about her father's noteless band. Now Theodore found a blurred photo from the Facebook fan page of a frat in s college. There's a little girl seeming to be April!
Then, I am familiar with the Boone family, whom I got to know from the previous book. Thus, I have a more clear character image in my mind. I also find them close to me, for I had joined their adventure. I can easily understand the background when the author talked about.
When I read, I was attracted by the plot and tried to guess what would happen next. This is an attractive story. Although there's something I don't like which I will mention after I finished the whole story (log#4), this book brought me a great time!
