Log #3

This time the book I chose is called Hector and the Search for Happiness, which was recommended by senior sister in the school. It's a story about a psychiatrist who owned a decent job, a steady relationship. His life seemed to be more wonderful than other people's. However, something still bothered him. He couldn't find the door to happiness; even he considered that he couldn't make his patients recover to be happy again. Therefore, he was determine to go on a trip to search for happiness by making acquaintance with different happy people around the world.

After his long trip, he had collected twenty-three ways to make himself happy. He was never confused anymore. For example, according to his list toward happiness, he realized "Happiness comes when you feel truly alive","The sun and the sea make everybody happy","Happiness is a certain way of seeing things." As you read his philosophy for happy life, you may think that actually happiness is around ourselves. We always see the negative side and ignore the bright side; we assume that "tragedy" is doomed to happen to ourselves. Other people's life are better than our's. But in fact the God is fair, if He takes one thing away from you, then He must give your another thing to you. You know you are blessed. Life is not difficult as you usually think. Only when you feel loved and alive will you sense you own happiness.

This kind of books help me a lot, not only getting my confused mind relived but also navigating my pursuit to my true passion. I know many people wonder sorts of worries, so I would like to recommend that if you don't have someone you trust in the most to talk about your distress, you can use certain books to make yourself feel better. Don't hide all your sadness in your bottom of heart. That is not a good way for you to relieve your pain.
