From reading CAROL (The price of salt) this book so far, the first half of the novel content actually makes me feel full of boredom. The author spent a lot of narrative description of the surrounding scene or inserted some of the screens in the paragraph. Let me read it quite difficult. Because this is the first time I read English novels, it seems a bit overestimated my ability.

The difference between the novel and the film is actually a lot. In the novel, the two actresses meet and follow the development are carried out very slowly. Living in the United States 50 years, many of their own emotions cannot be shown. The young actress is a very depressed person in her mind. Like each other but no way to directly show it. The kind of hidden in the heart of depression so that she has to accept everything she does not like. For her, to refuse others bring her tremendous pressure. Probably read half of the book after not so monotonous. I have to say that reading English novels is so pain for me. This is really a big challenge.
