Have you ever imagined spending your childhood traveling the world
Having your entire life depends on one suitcase alone
Observing the cultures, feeling the world with your own very eyes
Well, congratulation because that are not a dream anymore, at least that's what Carter felt. Ever since his mother's death, Carter has been living apart from his sister - Sadie who lived with their grandparents in London. Thanks to his father who specialize in Egyptology, Carter need to accompany his father who had to travel a lot. This must be the dream of every kid in the world, but not for Carter. He had to travel in such a rush and limited carriage. They often stay in a place for no longer than 2 days and start moving again. Carter's never asked his father why but he bet the reason must be something he could not endure, maybe not yet, that's why he decided to remain silent.
I always love picturing myself backpacking the world. To explore every nook of the world by myself. The fact of how Carter have spent most of his childhood traveling with his father excite me a lot. When any normal child would go to school, playing with their peers, Charter has already been outside observing the world. I couldn't wait to read and know more about the adventure Charter shares with his father.
This is the first book from the "Kane Chronicles" by Rick Riordan. Unlike the previous books I have read which were mainly about Greek Mythology. These chronicles will cover the story about Egypt Mythology. I think this is quite a big approach for me and this reading could be a very interesting one.
