Things to do on 5/24

Dear all,

Once again, I'd like to remind you that our presentations start on 6/7 to 21, and I believe we can end our last class earlier because not too many students will have to present that day. Also, please come for all presentations, since this time we will be doing Q&A right after each presentation. This project has been confusing many of you, and we are all curious about how each project turns out to be. Eventually, the project is about yourself, so how you are going to present your own story is quite flexible. But please note that models (with concept maps) have been given to help you with structuring your project.

Second, after reading and giving feedback to many of your logs, I found some of our students are quite unconfident, having self doubt, and troubling seeing your own strengths (with some exception). In addition to your own reading materials, I quickly came across many speeches about self-doubt and self-acceptance! Here are only two for your references.

The second speaker is very versatile in talents, interested and highly talented in both science and poetry. How did he manage to be focused on his studies on science and math, while also have the time and passion for poetry? And he does is in a rap fashion! Poetry Slam, that's what they call it.

I think extraordinary people do have a knack about time management and a straightforward mind to try learning any moment they can.

I actually will bring in another piece to read and listen to in class this coming Wednesday. Group discussions will be involved. Since I do want to give you more time to work on your final project, I'll show the third material in class when we meet.
