Book: The Life List
Author: Lori Nelson Spielman
Pages: 70-166
I liked the novel from the very beginning, and I like it more now. I really like how Brett’s mother, seems to go out of her way to help Brett to be prepared for her future plans. From what I’ve read so far, I learned that Brett has crossed three things off her life list: performed live on a stage, became friends with Carrie and helped out the poor. There are so much detailed that are going on in the storyline, such as I learned that Brett’s looking for her real father, and she broke up with her boyfriend, Andrew. Personally, I believed the relationship between them is based on how wealthy Brett is, sex, and the appearances of Andrew. I am so glad to see they finally broke up and become strangers.
While Brett tries so hard and does her best to finish everything that is on her life list, and as I was reading the story I kept on thinking: Brett has something she must be done, how about me? Is there something I want to be done but couldn’t bring myself to finish it or too scared to make my first move? I’ve been thinking a lot lately; wandering how can I balance out what I want to do and what I need to focus on. I hope by the time I finished the novel, I could make up my mind.
