Chapter 8-15

Brett finally started her journey on completing the list. However, one visit to her brother’s place made her realize something terrible. The truth was that she wasn’t her father’s child. Her mother had an affair with someone else, and Brett wants to find him out. Also, Brett successfully got into touch with her friend that lost contact with her when she was little. Brett was afraid that she would not accept her, but obviously her friend Carrie did remember her. At the same time, Brett is working as a sub teacher in a school. However, she failed to control the kids and was fired in seven hours.

Depressed, she decided to tell Andrew the truth that she didn’t become the CEO. She hoped that Andrew would be willing to complete the list with her. Andrew agreed unwillingly. Furthermore, Brett got a job of being a teacher for kids who can’t go to school. In this kind of one by one class, Brett found herself doing really well. However, she forgot her date with Carrie because of the teaching. Fortunately, Carrie seemed to forgive her.

The worst part in these pages was that Brett and Andrew, the one she loved so much finally break up. Andrew had long asked Brett to get him inside her family business, but was refused. Furious and upset, Andrew leaved Brett. After few days when Brett went to their old house to take away her belongings, she realized that Andrew has long been having affair with her friend Megan. Brett decided to move all the furniture she bought to another place she was living.

At her dinner time with Carrie and her family, Brett accidentally got some clues about her father. He was a really nice guy. When she told Brad this and met him, they opened the letter for completing the task of re-contacting Carrie. Surprisingly, Brett found that her mother gave her some clue about her real father. What’s more, her mother knew that Megan and Andrew were not real friend.

I think that it is really a mystery why Brett's mother can predict that Megan and Andrew are not real friends. What's more, I think in the end, Brett can find her father successfully. I felt really happy when seeing Brett and Carrie got together again. Although there might be a little scar in their relationship, both of them are trying to make it disappear.
