The Girl On The Train

Tom was the killer! Rachel finally recalled it was Tom who hit her on the head and drove Megan away. She went to Anna telling her Tom was dangerous, asking her to go. However, it was too late. Tom was there. He put all the blame on Rachel, claiming that she was the one who had made him to. At the end, in order to protect herself, Rachel killed Tom. Anna even "made sure" his death and covered for Rachel in investigation.

What a sloppy ending! It just ended so sudden that I felt so weird. The author didn't provide a very clear explanation about what's going on and it felt like the story hadn't ended yet. What about the other characters? They just disappeared. Besides, Tom made me so sick. How could a person be like that, blaming all his faults on others without feeling ashamed. He lied to everyone including himself. So selfish and superficial. He was a good actor and a good liar that he pretended he was a good husband, thoughtful and patient. However, he cheated on the back and was foul on the inside. He didn't feel sincerely sorry for everyone from the beginning to the end.

After reading, I feel so sad. There are some dark side of humanity in this book. What is the definition of knowing one well. Like Rachel, not until the end of the story did she realize Tom's true color. Sometimes what we see isn't always true. Besides, don't let anyone to confound your estimation and believe in yourself. However, the most importantly, never drink excessively. If Rachel hadn't been drunk, the tragedies might not have happened.
