The book our team chose to read is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. The reason why we chose it was that this was clearly a classic, not to mention, the movie was really good. The first thing I learned from this book was, well, how to spell "thief". For some reason, I never remember whether "i" comes first or "e" comes first. Anyways, not gonna lie, the first 50 pages put me to sleep, but after that, I started to like this book. The special feature of this book was the little "descriptions" that the author added in the book, which explained the parts that I the readers don't understand.
At the beginning of the story, Liesel's brother died on the way to their foster home. Because of that, they had to stop to burry him. During the burial, Liesel found a book that the gravedigger dropped. She kept it in stead of giving it back, and that's how the stealing books begin.
