Log #7

The more I read, the deeper I found I was in this book.

Magen was gone. On the Saturday night Rachel was totally drunk, and after she was awake she didn't remember what had happened, only to found herself extremely uncomfortable that there were some little cuts and wounds on the body. It is also Saturday night when Magen ran away after a big fight with Scott, her husband, and then disappeared. However, Rachel knew Magen had an affair with her therapist, Kamel, and she didn't want to be the woman on the train anymore. She wanted to got involved; she wanted to be part of it, so she went to the police and went to Scott to tell everything she knew about Magen, wanting to be helpful.

I have to say this book is definitely my cup of tea. Although I'm kind of fed up that Rachel keep drinking and I believe the crucial clue to the disappearance of Megan is hidden in the period when she is drunk, I find she gradually knows that she should go back to the normal track of life, which is a good sign. Besides, I find myself somehow similar to Rachel that when facing some issues or problems, I always want to get into it even though I know little about it. Like Rachel, I don't want to be a outsider. Reading to this, I am very curious about who is the murderer. It can be Rachel that she destroys her perfect projection of the happy couple life; it can be Scott that they just have a big fight before her disappearance; it can also be Kamel. I really want to know what has happened on Saturday night.
I really appreciate how the author depicts the characters and the plots. It is very strong, attractive and especially immersive. I almost can't stop reading.
