    I love reading chic literature and the reason why I chose this book was simply because I was wondering around Eslite Bookstore, finding this book was on the top of the bestselling bookshelf. I quickly read the back of the novel and then the next second I was already paying at the cashier. The book is about a 34 years old woman, Brett Bohlinger, lost her mother. When she expected her mother to leave the company, Bohlinger Cosmetics for her to run, she found out that she has to complete her life goals she wrote when she was fourteen so that she could receive the inheritance.

    The first chapter mainly talks about the pain of losing Mother that Brett has to bear. When reading this chapter, I could feel my heart has broken because I just couldn't imagine the sorrow of losing my beloved mother. I would be devastated if not being able to see her or touch her.  Even though I know someday she's going to leave this world, still, I'm not ready to lose her yet. The second chapter begins to talk about the important part of this book: the life list that Brett has to complete. What I thought was very interesting while was when the lawyer, Brad Midar, reads the letter Brett's mother wrote to her. She insisted that Brad mus read to Brett so that it would feel like she's having a conversation with her own daughter. Indeed. when Brett said something about her mother's letter, the next sentence her mother wrote was to reply the previous comment Brett has made. I think this connection between them is extremely precious and I think of my mother as well. My mother has a six sense so she always knows what I'm thinking and we often have the same thoughts, especially when we are thinking what to have for dinner! The connection I have with my mom is like Brett had with her mother and it's priceless. Another part I thought it was meaningful was the list Brett wrote when she's fourteen. It started to make me think of those dreams I had while I was a child and whether those dreams were fulfilled. I'm looking forward to the next chapter to find out what Brett would do!
