Book title: Tuesdays with Morrie
Author: Mitch Albom
Pages I read: 1~40
My Reflection:
At the beginning of the story, the author clearly told the readers that the relationship between Morrie and the author himself was teachers and students. What made Morrie became the most important teacher for the author is his attitude towards life and death. Morrie, diagnosed with an incurable disease, was a college professor teaching Social Psychology. At his first class, he told his students about his fatal illness and didn't mind if the students drop the class. With such a liberal idea in mind, the author chose to stay and kept learning from the professor and gradually their relationship became more like life-long friends rather than simply teachers and students.
Finding a teacher that can be so life-changing is definitely the luckiest thing in the world. I happen to have a teacher that influenced me a lot and I can even say that without her, I would not have achieved what I have now. She was my homeroom teacher in my senior high school; she made me who I am. She's like the light in the darkness, pointing the directions for me. Not only did she reignite my desire for English learning, but she also taught me a lot of lessons for life. I really don't know how to show my greatest gratitude towards my teacher, Laura Liu.
