It's a book about a trial on a black man's harassment. My sister read this book few years ago and she said she likes it. I choose this book because i felt it worth of reading twice after i read the Chinese version. Also, I find it interesting when i read the English version that the description is similar.
From the perspective of a girl, she sees the world in different aspect from adults. What's more, it shows the unequal between countryside and modern life. From the front pages of 54, i read how the girl's teacher tell her not to learn much from the outside but from the book and how the teacher punishes the character when she is doing the right thing. I start to think of what the author is trying to say. However, the author also describes the happiness and imaginative of children when they play on the yard in summer. On the other hand, there is a strange house not far away from them and there is a strange story from the house as well. According to the book, a man is locked in the house since he was sent to the jail and then never go outside again.
The mystery is still unknown but i am curious that why the book is called "To Kill A Mockingbird". I may figure out after i finish it.
I read this book once in my English literature class in high school. At first I don't like the book but as I carry on with the class, the more I like about it. It is really a good piece of writing.
