I am a reader; I read
mostly Chinese books. Reading is a part of my life. I read in every short
blocks of time. If I am free in the weekends, I can finish a book one night. Mostly reading
novels, I read every kind of works. The most boring book I’ve read was a book teaching
people how to exploit oil-it was really really
really tedious, but I still finished it. I borrowed Tagore’s poetry from the library
and found it hard to understand. Autobiography is meaningful, but I won’t
glance at an unfamiliar celebrity’s book. Therefore, I read novels, which are
always interesting in order to appeal to readers.
Throughout my
long reading history, I like The Twins
by Div. It is a story about life, will, hope, and living. The Twins isn’t the best story I have ever read, nor does it have
excellent writing skills. It just has simple words and maybe an old plot;
however, I was moved whenever I read over this book in my junior high school. The author
wasn’t mature enough when writing this story, but he did convey something
through his sentences and touch readers.
I think I am
loyal to reading. As to what makes me a reader, to be honest, I don’t remember.
I read hardcover books which are easy Chinese traditional stories when in
kindergarten. I read Harry Potter (of
course Chinese version) in the second year in my elementary school; I still
remember that Harry Potter series 7
was launched at my age of eleven. Nonetheless, I forgot how and why did I get
started-maybe the first time I got a book? Air is to men what reading is to
me; I enjoy reading.
