My Reading History

    Compared to my classmates, I must admit that I’m not a good reader here because I have been busy with lots of activities since I enrolled in university. It seems hard for me to stop being distracted and read deeply.

    However, I was supposed to be a great Mandarin reader. My parents used to subscribe Children’s magazines for me to read when I was young. During that time, there was no TV or Internet in my home. As a result, reading in the study was the greatest entertainment in my eyes. The books led me to understand this world, each slides of the book could make me excited. I can still remember vividly how tough it was to wait for a new version of magazine. I think that would be the time I have the most passion on reading.

    Recently, a sentence usually occurs to me: not having enough time is a lie. Since my life was filled with activities and vocations, I have been thinking of the passion of regaining books, but I didn’t catch the opportunity. At first, I considered there’s no time for me to read. However, I found out I was lack of the ability of time management and the bravery to take action immediately, instead of lacking in time after a long introspection. I hope to rekindle my habit of reading in this class, and re-experience the affection of words.
