Starbucks CEO claimed that in the following five years, he is planning to set more than 5,000 locations of Starbucks in China, in another word, expanding a new store for a day. This sounds unreachable for many great companies have retreated from the challenge to blend in the Chinese culture.
It's is good to know that Starbucks has such huge ambition, but to people living in China it maybe a disaster. Not every single person is able to afford a cup of Starbucks coffee, for it's price is twice or tripe higher than other chained coffee shops. If Starbucks has succeeded to expand its stores in China, it may cause the gap between rich and poor wider. To my observation, usually when a store has raised its selling price, stores around it would raise their price as well, in order to survive in the competitive market.
As to the rich in China, it doesn't matter if the living expense would rise, buying a sport car is nothing to them not mentioning buying some daily consumption. The poor, in contrast, is originally having difficulties to make ends meet; now as the situation worsening, they have to figure out a new way to get along with the changeability.
My aspiration is to become an outstanding entrepreneur, and what motivates me to pursue this goal is that there are countless businessmen exploiting their employees and customers, and I can't bear it anymore. I definitely understand the core faith to a businessman is to make the maximum amount of profit; however, it has to be earned by a legal way. When the day has come, when I have become a successful businessman, when I have sufficient deal of resources, I am going to let those businessmen know how it taste like when falling into the impasse.
