Log #3

There have been multiple attempts by researchers, scholars, people from different regions and classes to find a solution to income inequality. Some argue that the best solution is social destabilization, such as global war, an argument that I most agree with. Others argue that it can be solved by taxing consumption with a special formula used to calculate tax rate. Still others, including Bill gates, argues that none of the above is required and that such drastic measures could also discourage small investors and business owners. Nevertheless, many would agree that new taxation methods are required, the million-dollar question is how.
Old methods include raising minimal wages, tighten economic control still stand, but they are having minimal impact, as evident in our own economy and economies from all around the world as ever. However, one thing is for sure: government interference is inevitable. To reach a balance between socialism and freedom of trade will certainly be a challenge to us all.
