Top 10 Reasons Why Female Education is Important
This week, I find some articles with the reason why we should make girls in developing world educated. There are ten reasons for it.

1. Increased Literacy
2. Human Trafficking
3. Political Representation
4. Thriving Babies
5. Safe Sex
6. Later Weddings
7. Smaller Families
8. Income Potential
9. Thriving GDP
10. Poverty Reduction

Among these reasons, the most impressive one for me is to thrive babies. According to the United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative, children of educated mothers are twice as likely to survive past the age of five. I don’t get clear of the connection between educated moms and longer-surviving children, but I assume that if a mom is well-educated, she will take better care of herself since she gains lots of hygiene knowledge from her school life. From another article, the study shows that girls with no education are much more fertile than the girls receiving well education regardless of the number of school years. To sum up, though the number of children from an ill-educated mom will be higher than that from a well-educated mom, the result of survival rate is the opposite.

As for other reasons, the improvement of girl education can boost the rise of economy and reduce the crime rate. From another article, the study shows that though girls in some countries have a lot of restriction to enter the school, the academic performance from girls still outperforms that from boys. To sum up, the original belief that girls shall not study hard is totally a wrong thought. If we make good use of women’s power, the whole society will become more wonderful.
