Things to do on 3/22

Dear all,

Reading your blog posts is like digging for treasure. I have this ambivalent feeling when reading your writings: they make me feel that you can actually do better! You propose some good topics to work on, but the ideas (reflections) shared so far have not been able to support your topic! Please read more if you mainly read short essays. I would like to urge you to read more readings each time before you post your logs. I have demonstrated before that track reading from one article to another is easy online. It'd be best if you also include real books.

But I was pleasantly amazed at Jay's posts on social media and a movie about human introspection.  Please do read each other's post and try to respond. You can learn a lot and see how your own performance is when compared to others.  Or at least respond to your group members' posts.

Also, for your group discussion, if we have time for that, please be more systematic and structured when getting your heads together. Please bring the essays you have read to class and present how your material fit in the topic, giving each other suggestions, adding new ideas, synthesizing your ideas and evaluating if your outline works well. Don't forget to prepare a list of references.

Again, I'll bring you a essay to read together  in class. In addition, I'll talk more about critical thinking (Mr. 李建宏mentioned this in his log), and my ideal for you to do this project. What's more important is: what can we do for a social change? How do you conclude your project?

See ya!
