I've been gathering lines in Malala's speech for past five days or so now. I wrote down every quote I felt strongly about. Her lines in every single speech I watched and heard were so powerful that even I can still remember her tone and expression as she made the speech now.
I think the most powerful quote came from her is:
"Let us remember: One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world."
I also enjoyed other quotes such as:
"I speak not for myself but for those without the voice... those who have fought for their rights... their right to live in peace, their right to be treated with dignity, their right to equality of opportunity, their right to be educated."
"There are many problems, but I think there is a solution to all these problems; it's just one, and it's education."
"I don't want to be remembered as the girl who was shot. I want to be remembered as the girl who stood up."
Most of the quotes are about education and speak up without fear. And it is something that Malala kept on talking about; she never loses her focus. We're living in a world that it is very important for girls to know that we need to stand up for ourselves and our voices are important because as Malala said, "When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful."
