It's said that “Cyberbullying, like traditional bullying, involves an imbalance of power, aggression, and a negative action that is often repeated.” With the access of Internet, the humiliation is public and therefore twice as shaming. Hardly could we act out stories of being insulted boldly in public if we happen to be victims. Frankly speaking, not only do kids or teenagers cyberbully others, but adults can also be harassed through the Internet.
Some articles reveal that youngsters aren't emotionally equipped to handle the social degradation; however, it doesn't mean that adults should be required to contain such abilities. They're human beings as well. What they encounter, what's more, is not only condemn from colleagues but also pressure from the society. Take my father as an example, he once got cyber bullied anonymously when their company was selecting candidates for promotion, and luckily, he happened to be the lucky one. In addition, jealousy seemed to be a human nature. The anonymous harassment and accusations haunted him for a long time; but fortunately, with our mental support, he was able to quickly get through his harsh period.
Adults, who have no one to turn to, are more likely to devastate their self-esteems and confidence. Everyone can be involved in cyberbullying: it's an issue worth being aware of, it's an issue worth putting efforts on, and it's an issue that everyone of us should take responsibility for. An individual is a life. Equality and anti-bullying are the priorities.
