Sea-level rise issue

To prevent seawater from invasion, in addition to decreasing the amount of emissions of greenhouse gas, countries are now taking action dealing with this issue. For example, that's the case with Boston; it is said that Boston is considering building a giant sea barrier to protect the city. Then, Kiribati turns to artificial islands to face the threats of sea-level rise. Besides, the people of Maldives are very likely needed to take migration action to Australia, for their island will be deluged by rising seawater. Moreover, countries such China, Japan, and the Netherlands are working on solutions for sea-level rise, too.

In order to stop sea-level rise, of course the most effective way is to control the greenhouse gas in the air. However, there are still some other ways to reduce risks of rising salty water. How about Taiwan? Taiwan will be badly affected by sea-level rise (considering the population and the land area). Maybe we can't stop the release of greenhouse gas, but we may well focus on other effective solutions or even come up with a new one. I hope I won't see a much smaller Taiwan one hundred year later; keep enough land for our descendants!
