Wealth inequality is known as the cause of M-shaped society, which is also called “rich get richer and the poor get poorer.” This inequality will not only cause economic problems, but also make the whole society in danger. There have been many researches done for the phenomenon so far. The most important factor contributing to the problem is because of different payment.

First, the education may divide people into several categories. Since the level of education often brings about different levels of skill and knowledge, people who accept higher education may be able to gain better skill and knowledge. Besides, jobs with high payment in the society often needs great professional skill. As a result, those who learn well may get the job due to equipped with needs. Then, people with high education will become richer, while people with low education gain less.

Wealth inequality is a vicious circle. The rich will have more opportunities to access more resources, while the poor have less. As a result, the gap between the rich and the poor becomes wider. Moreover, this effect are likely to extend to the following generations. Children from rich families are able to accept higher education and better relationships with the top of the society. Finally, the rich are still rich, and the poor are still poor.

We all consider education as the best way to make the transformation of social class. However, we are sorry to say that education has a lot to do with the wealth inequality. From the observation, we may have to re-think about the structure of our education.
